What will Sally paint?

This is up to the couple! Some common choices include the wedding dip, first kiss, first look, or simply strolling through the background holding hands. Pick a pose that reflects your personalities. You can decide on poses any time before the wedding. On your wedding day she will take a photo of you for reference in your desired pose.

How does Sally take the photo reference for the painting?

Sally will set the couple aside for 5-10 minutes at an agreed upon time and arrange them in their desired poses for the painting. Adjusting the veil, bouquet, and any adornments on the couple will be made as-needed until the photo reference is taken and approved by the couple.

What will be the painting’s background?

This is also up to the couple! But Sally can also make her best artistic suggestion if asked. The day of the wedding, she will arrive a few hours earlier to set up and begin painting the background. Ultimately, she suggests the outdoors for the most beautiful, romantic backdrop. This can include gardens, oceans, fountains, mountains and trees. If the background selected is especially floral, she can also incorporate flowers similar to the wedding color-scheme or bridal bouquet, for that extra special touch.

What do you require from the venue for your work area?

From the venue, a 6’ x 6’ space and a chair will be required. Depending on the venue, Sally may bring in a canopy or umbrella to paint under the sun, if it is outdoors.

What do paintings cost?

Sally currently offers only one package, the Daisy, at $800.

The Daisy includes an 18x24” hardboard canvas and the rendered painting of the couple with a .painted background of the venue.

Any additional people/pets will cost an additional $100 each, painted in a more gestural sort of style, in order to make the couple at the center of attention.

can we still get a painting even if my wedding has already passed?

Yes! This would be one of Sally’s custom acrylic paint commissions. All you have to do is email a clear, high-resolution photo of what you would like painted, and she will create a painting just as beautiful as if she were on-location! This would be at a lower cost than her live painting services, please reach out to inquire for details.

What materials are used for the painting?

The paintings are initially created with high quality acrylic paints, and subsequently finished with a UV resistant, protective semi-gloss varnish.

Does Sally complete the painting at the event?

The final painting is done in-studio.

When and how is the painting delivered?

Paintings typically take 2-4 months to complete. Once ready, it will either be hand-delivered for free (if within the OC area) or shipped via FedEx at a flat rate of $150.

How do I place an order?

Contact us here or feel free to email at sallymfineart@gmail.com. Sally will subsequently reach out to you, using your given contact information, and complete a free consultation about what you would like. From there, a contract will be created for your signature, along with a questionnaire about where Sally will be painting. Once completed, a nonrefundable deposit of 30% will be requested in order to secure the date the live painting will be performed.
